Initial Evaluation

If you are concerned about your child not reaching milestones, suspect a delay in development, or recognize that your child could benefit from physical therapy, call us or email us to schedule an appointment for an initial evaluation.

The evaluation takes approximately 45-60 minutes. We start by asking questions about your pregnancy and birth history of your child, his/her medical history, milestones, daily routine, challenges and goals. The therapist will note how your child moves during activities. The evaluation continues with clinical observation and administration of a pediatric standardized test. We will let you know the results of the testing and will instruct on whether your child needs treatments.

Treatment

If the evaluation demonstrates the necessity of treatment, we will develop a personalized treatment plan to suit your child's needs. It will include functional goals for the purpose of improving your child's participation in the activities of the daily living at home and in the community. Treatments will be fun and enriching. They can be provided indoors in your home, outdoors in your yard, in your child's daycare, or in the community playground. We will also instruct you on proper home exercises and activities to promote good health. We use evidence-based practice in our treatments. Our continuing education is received in the United States as well as in European countries and in Israel. We attend world pediatric conferences, so that we can incorporate into our treatments best practices validated by peer-reviewed studies. Our extensive training and experience allow us to customize treatments to your child’s needs.
